Virtual Walls

Overview

Virtual Walls offer the same functionalities as a regular wall, without the need for hardware and cabling configuration. To use this method, you only need to print the slot barcodes and place them on their designated slots on the wall where you intend to sort your products. The only difference is that you will need to navigate to the slots by their ID, instead of light indicators. This workflow also allows you to use a real lightwall with the hardware turned off. For instance, if you’re experiencing cabling issues, switching to virtual wall mode would enable you to continue scanning and sorting products without any disruptions.

Virtual Walls can only be created for your bin-enabled warehouses.

Manage Virtual Walls

Virtual Walls can be created in the Hub app and are easily identified by a distinct robot icon next to their name.

  4. Based on the desired sorting workflow, navigate to either the Bin-to-Light or Put-to-Light section and click New Virtual wall? Start here.
Learn more about each sorting workflow here. To change the sorting workflow of an existing wall, navigate to the wall’s Actions > Edit and select the desired workflow from the dropdown.
